About the practice.

Plastikakademin was founded by Associate Professor Johan Thorfinn, a specialist and docent in plastic surgery at Linköping University, alongside Dr. Avni Abdiu Avaldsnes, who has worked in the facial surgery specialty for nearly three decades and brings reconstructive depth that is rare in a private practice. Together, they form one of the most credentialed two-surgeon benches in Swedish private aesthetics, with Amal Makansi leading the dermatology track and specialists in vascular and maxillofacial surgery also on the team.

The practice's approach is grounded in research and clinical rigor, and that shows in how candidacy is handled. If surgery is not the right decision, the team will say so. Patients are given honest, thorough information from the first conversation, not to create barriers, but because an informed patient makes a better decision. That standard has made Plastikakademin one of the most consistently trusted independent practices in southern Sweden.
